You can connect supported AI tools to your Rho account to ask questions about your finances in plain language. Once connected, the AI tool can securely access your Rho data to answer questions like:
What's our current account balance?
Show me last month's wire transfers.
Find a specific transaction.
What AI tools can access
AI tools connected to Rho have read-only access to your account. They can view information, but they can't move money, create users, update settings, or make changes to your account.
Today, connected tools can access:
Account balances
Transactions
Statements
Our detailed guides have the most accurate information on what data your AI tools can access from Rho.
For every connection you create with your AI tools, you can select the scope of data available through that connection.
Who can connect an AI tool?
How an AI tool is connected depends on the integration method:
Built-in Rho integrations (OAuth) can only be authorized by an Account Owner or Admin.
API access token integrations use a Rho API access token with the permissions assigned to it.
Connect an AI tool
How you connect depends on whether your AI tool already supports Rho.
Option 1: Your AI tool supports a Rho integration
If Rho appears in your AI tool's integrations or connectors directory, simply:
Open the integrations directory.
Select Rho.
Sign in to your Rho account.
Approve the connection.
For step-by-step instructions, see Connecting Claude to your Rho account.
Option 2: Your AI tool supports MCP
If your AI tool supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), you can connect using a Rho API access token.
To get started:
In Rho, navigate to Settings → API → Access Tokens.
Create a new access token and complete two-factor authentication.
In your AI tool, add the Rho MCP server and authenticate using your access token. See MCP for the server address and the exact header format.
Note: API access tokens are only shown once when they're created. Be sure to copy your token before closing the window.
Disconnect an AI tool
You can disconnect an AI tool at any time. How you revoke access depends on how the tool was connected:
Connected through an integrations directory (like Claude): remove the Rho connection in your AI tool's settings, then revoke the connection in Rho under Settings → API → Linked Apps.
Connected with an API access token: revoke the token in Settings → API → Access Tokens.
Once access is revoked, it stops working immediately. To reconnect later, set up the connection again.
If you’re setting up your first integration, reference Getting started for detailed instructions.
